Dutch AI company Nebius receives a $700 million investment from Nvidia and Accel, among others. The company wants to accelerate its ambitious expansion plans.
Nebius, a Dutch AI company, announced in a press release that it has entered into a $700 million private placement financing agreement. Nvidia and Accel are among these investors. The Dutch AI company plans to use this capital to realize its ambitious expansion plans throughout Europe and North America.
Expansion plans
The announced funding supports Nebius’ plans to further expand its full-stack AI infrastructure – including large GPU clusters, cloud platforms, and developer tools and services – for AI pioneers worldwide.
“We have demonstrated the scale of our ambition by building AI infrastructure on two continents. This strategic funding gives us additional firepower to do this faster and at scale,” said Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius.
Nebius’ full-stack AI infrastructure is based on extensive technical expertise in hardware and software, cloud engineering and machine learning. In the area of AI infrastructure, Nebius has around 400 engineers with decades of experience building technical infrastructure, as well as an internal research and development team for large language models.
