One of the most important new features in Google Photos history is coming to iOS. One of the most important features of the service is its backup. Even though Google cut off unlimited access a long time ago, this app is still one of the best alternatives to save all our content.
Now the application starts to update as follows: get these backups backSomething that will allow us to quickly delete our photos from the cloud without affecting the local content on our phone.
According to Google’s details, this function is called Undo Backup. The name itself indicates the function it performs: it is responsible for retrieving photo uploads to the Google cloud.
To access it we will just have to go to app settingsAccess the backup section and click on this new option that will appear. After doing this, everything in the backup will be deleted. Likewise, automatic backup will be disabled and photos will not be uploaded until we give permission.
This function does not delete photos from local memory; Therefore, there is no risk of losing information if it is already saved on our phone; This is a common situation when we back up the photos we take.
Currently, the function is starting to roll out on iOS and is expected to come to Android in the coming weeks.
