“Dimensity 9000+ ensures device manufacturers always have access to the latest high-performance features and cutting-edge mobile technology, so their high-end smartphones will stand out,” said company spokesperson Enchi Lee.
In addition to speeding up the CPU by 5% and graphics by 10% compared to the Dimensity 9000, image processing and 5G modem processing have also been improved.
The Dimensity 9000+ features a higher performance Cortex-X2 core with speeds boosted from 3.05 GHz to 3.2 GHz.
The MediaTek Imagiq 790 can shoot 18-bit HDR video from three cameras simultaneously. It also supports photos with a resolution of up to 320 megapixels and can handle 9 gigapixels per second. There is also support for 4K HDR video with noise reduction thanks to artificial intelligence.
The company says users can expect the Dimensity 9000+ to appear on smartphones in the third quarter.
