New York authorities have stepped up the blockade suspected of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEOBrian Thompson, New York Mayor Eric Adams said, according to New York Post.

“The fence is closing,” Adams said at a Police Athletic League Christmas event in Harlem.

According to New York Postmayor avoided public disclosure of identity suspect in order to not give him an advantage and allow the police to continue their investigative work.

“We don’t want to reveal it now. If we do this, we will be giving a hint to the person we are looking for, and we do not want to give him any advantage.

“Let him continue to believe that he can hide behind a mask. “We have revealed his face, we are going to reveal who he is and bring him to justice,” he explained.

UnitedHealthcare CEO killed outside Hilton Hotel

Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was killed Wednesday outside the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan as he headed into the building to attend his company’s annual investor conference.

The shooting prompted the mobilization of a large police force to search for the alleged killer, who fled on foot before riding an electric bicycle into Central Park, police said.

New details from the investigation suggest the suspect may have traveled to New York on November 24, 10 days before the crime, by bus from Atlanta, Georgia.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) said Friday they believe the suspect left the city shortly after the killing after video was released of him getting into a taxi that took him to a bus stop.
