Windows 11 has released an Insider update that adds more colors to the battery icon, making it larger and more intuitive.
The battery icon in the Windows 11 taskbar will soon get a new look. The icon is now missing some color and could have been larger. Microsoft is releasing a solution for this, Tom’s Hardware knows.
There’s a good chance that the battery icon is more visible on your smartphone than on your PC. This is strange because a computer screen has a much higher resolution. So it makes no sense that the icon is displayed so small.
Thanks to the new update, the icon turns orange when the power saving function is activated and green when the battery is charging. It also gets more pixels, allowing for better scaling. This change occurs in the Start bar, Quick Menu, and Settings app. Additionally, the very small plug icon has been replaced with a clearer and larger lightning bolt icon. It is now centered above the battery.
Finally, there are also updates to the usage graph labels. Microsoft has not yet announced when the update will generally be rolled out.
