Tesla has released a new video of its Optimus humanoid robot moving independently over rough terrain. Tesla owner Elon Musk said on social network X that the robot moves “with its eyes closed” because engineers have not yet made vision part of the control circuit for rough terrain.
Optimus moved around using only built-in sensors controlled by a neural network.
Tesla had previously announced that it was already using multiple robots in its factory, and Musk claimed that the company would start selling Optimus to customers next year.
