Micron has introduced the largest storage microSD card in the industry. It will be launched under I400 Series in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities. The big news is the version with 1.5 TBsegment record.

Although many smartphones no longer support them (thanks to a bad copy of Apple, which is reproduced by almost all other manufacturers), microSD cards are still basic product group increase storage capacity (or run software) of hundreds of millions of devices, from smartphones to cameras, through drones, tablets, GPS, portable consoles and more.

The Micron i400 uses the company’s 176-layer 3D NAND memory and, due to its high density, is ideal for small-sized solutions such as microSD. They are designed for 24/7 operation, with a mean time between failures of two million hours and a performance guarantee of at least five years. They can operate in environments between -25 and 85 degrees Celsius and are protected from water damage, magnets, X-rays, shocks and jolts.

In terms of performance, the minimum supported write (sequential) speed will be at least 30 MB / s, while random read / write is rated as A2, which is four times the minimum random read / write (4,000 / 2,000 IOPS) of the original version.

There are certainly faster microSD cards, but the storage capacity of the new Micron cards is their best introduction, as so far the limit has been set at 1 Tbyte.

The company is focusing on its new cards any market segment, professional, consumer or industrialespecially for storing content from security camera recordings or others for which up to four months of video sequences are shown.

1.5 bytes nic This is nothing for a format as small as microSD. Of course, the new SD Express is being deployed, which is a hitherto unknown level for removable storage, because in addition to data transfers, up to 4,000 Mbytes per second can reach a capacity of 128 Tbytes.
