Google Docs has started rolling out 40 new templates for creating documents.
Google is adding 40 new modern templates to Google Docs, as reported in a Workspace update. The rollout can take up to fifteen days. The new templates are intended to make documents more visually appealing. This sounds similar to Canva Docs, where Canva offers the ability to add visual elements to documents.
The purpose of the templates is to save users time by not having to create the documents entirely themselves. There is a large selection of different templates: from blog posts to interview guides. You can open it with the button Templates at the top of a new document or by pressing file then click New, From the template gallery.
According to Google, the templates include preset layouts and styles. They also use document tabs that allow for better organization and there is that too Placeholder which users can replace with relevant information.
The templates are available to all users with a Google account, Google Workspace customers, and Workspace Individual subscribers. Google will add even more template options in the coming months, The Verge reports.
