Contextual advertising service Google AdSense announced its intention to close its operations in the Republic of Belarus and stop servicing user accounts registered in the country. The company had previously made a similar decision about Russian web publishers.

“On December 13, 2024, we will deactivate all Ad Manager, AdSense and AdMob accounts for users in Belarus. This means that it will become impossible to earn money through such accounts. December revenue will be reduced by approximately 21 December, provided the account is not suspended and payment thresholds are met.” -It will be paid on January 26, 2025.” – says the message of the service.

Thus, website owners working on YouTube video bloggers and application developers from Belarus will completely lose access to Google AdSense and the services provided by the advertising network.

It is worth noting that this is far from the first restriction of sanctions against the Republic of Belarus. Docker Hub, Apple Search Ads and Tinder services, corporate messaging Slack, software developer Atlassian (Trello, Jira, Confluence, etc.), SAP and some other large foreign IT companies have previously announced that they will leave the country.
