A new Apple Intelligence update brings support for ChatGPT to iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple today released an update to its iPhone, iPad and Mac software. In addition to some improvements for Apple Intelligence, this also includes support for ChatGPT.
Apple Intelligence is a collection of AI functions that are currently not available in Europe due to the AI law. America has been able to work on it since October. Now users can also enjoy ChatGPT. The chatbot works with Siri and Writing Tools, reports SiliconANGLE. Siri can now answer more complex questions, but will first ask for permission to use ChatGPT.
Writing tools can use ChatGPT to generate text or images to display alongside the text. An additional feature called “Describe Your Change” gives more control over the changes made to the text. Users can describe changes to make them more expressive, for example when rewriting.
An OpenAI account is not required, but Apple Intelligence is only available on an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 16.
