Microsoft has announced that it will introduce an option to share files between an iPhone and a Windows PC via Phone Link and Link to Windows applications.

With the addition of iMessage and iPhone calling in Windows 11, Windows Insiders will soon have the ability to easily share files between their iPhone and their Windows PC. Microsoft has started rolling out this feature and sharing can be done through Phone Link and Link to Windows applications. This has been possible for Android phones for some time.

Share files

To transfer a file from your iPhone to a PC, go to file, To shareand then Link to Windows. Then select the device you want to share the file with. You can also save a file using an iPhone, then right-click and select the files you want to share My phone.

The Phone Link application is becoming increasingly popular. Samsung recently stopped supporting the DeX application to allow users to switch to Phone Link. Phone Link seems to be becoming a universal file sharing solution.

It is unknown when the feature will be made available to all users.
