In a new update, the Suggested Actions menu will disappear in Windows 11.
Microsoft has announced that the Suggested Actions menu will soon disappear in Windows 11. The menu was first introduced in the Windows 11 2022 update and offered quick suggestions for actions like scheduling calls or events. The company now considers the feature to be obsolete.
“The suggested actions menu that appears when copying a phone number or date will be removed in a future update to Windows 11,” Microsoft wrote in a blog. When you copy a phone number, apps that allow you to make direct calls appear in the menu. Apps that create events appear next to a date.
The menu is probably disappearing because not enough people are using it, or because there is a new one Click To DoThe feature does much of the same thing, but with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). This feature is exclusive to Copilot+ PCs, according to Windows Central. Windows 11 users without a Copilot+ PC are not offered an alternative.
Although Microsoft is removing features, many new features continue to be added. For example, the recent 24H2 update introduced several improvements despite some technical issues during launch. It is not yet known when this update will be generally available.
