He was right because both keys have something in common that they serve a very specific purpose and therefore their function is very limited. The Windows key brings up the start menu and the Copilot key does the same with said intelligent chatbot.

The fact is that Copilot has undergone very important changes since its introduction, which have affected not only its behavior, but even on your own base, and this meant that the reserved key lost most of its meaning.

Microsoft Copilot key: let the user decide

Let me put you in context, Copilot’s debut came with desktop sidebar integration, but that idea was quickly scrapped and eventually It was eventually replaced by a web applicationwhich was later updated under WebView.
