Moreover, the victim allegedly belonged to a youth group created by the former president during his presidency called “Generation Evo”

The prosecutor’s office indicated that an arrest warrant for Morales was issued on October 16 and was not executed for a number of reasons, including the inability of the police to establish the whereabouts of the political leader.

Regarding the arrest warrant for Morales, Vice Minister Rios said that the Cochabamba police command (center) still needs to be notified so that it can act in accordance with procedures.

Evo Morales under the protection of “elite security”

Social leaders linked to Evo Morales confirmed to local media that day that the former president was protected by “elite security” and peasant vigils in the tropics of Cochabamba, his main political and trade union bastion.

Morales condemns Luis Arce’s plan to arrest him and send him to the US
