According to ITdaily’s survey of its readers, the NIS2 law is a concern for IT professionals. Almost half are feeling the effects, but not everyone knows what to expect.
NIS2 officially came into effect on October 18th. The NIS2 regulations were created to increase the cyber resilience of companies in essential sectors. Although the letter of the law applies to large organizations, SMEs in the supply chain may also be inundated with questions about NIS2. ITdaily organized an online survey among IT professionals to ask whether they are feeling the impact of NIS2.
The survey, which included approximately seventy participants, shows that NIS2 is on the radar of IT professionals, but not everyone knows exactly what the law means for the business. One in three IT experts say they are actively working on NIS2. 14 percent are aware that NIS2 applies, but believe the expectations are unclear.
Sixteen percent are following NIS2 closely, even if the law has no direct impact yet. Only eleven percent are sure that the law does not apply to their organization. After all, one in four people have never heard of NIS2. If you belong to the latter group, we would like to refer you to our NIS2 topic page.
Every month we survey our readers about a current technology topic. Curious about the results of previous surveys? Here You can find the overview here.
