Kagmedia Sports founder Anıl Güler, who said in his speech at the Istanbul Marketing Summit that brands should engage in ‘Togetherness Communication’, spoke about the sponsorships that companies make with athletes and the relativity of success. Güler said: ‘Success is a relative concept, here it is not only results-oriented, but also the story of the athlete and the training process must be conveyed to society. At this point it is important that sponsorship supports the athletes’ activities in healthier progress. We see an increase in sponsorship compared to previous years, but this percentage is still not sufficient, especially for individual athletes. Given the successes achieved at the past Olympic Games, we should not forget that the medals come from individual athletes.” he said.
