Lenovo’s rollable laptop has appeared on Evan Blass’ site and is aiming for a presentation at CES 2025, which will be held at the beginning of the year in Las Vegas. It could arrive as a special version of the ThinkBook series that will be updated at the show, and according to the images shown, it is exactly what we expected.
It should be commended that manufacturers dare to come up with innovative designs that stand out from the general vision that offers products that are too similar. And it’s fair to say that Lenovo took a risk like few who seek to do so form factor innovation. It was the first to launch a next-generation convertible device with the Yoga series, as well as the manufacturer that sold the world’s first foldable laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Fold. Not to mention his spectacular transparent laptop or o Motorola Rollable Concept which its mobile brand presented at MWC this year.
And a new generation of flexible screens has helped create possible designs that until recently were the stuff of science fiction. The person in question was already listed in Lenovo Tech World 2022 as a preview of new technologies to come. And here we have it, spectacular.
Its design is visible. The roll-up format is more attractive than with typical collapsible and not yet fully resolved problematic component of the warehouse. Here, it’s a vertical format that folds up to reveal what we can call a “second” screen. Whether the movement of the screen will be manual or motorized in some way is unknown.
No information was provided about the panel technology and sizes, but from what we see in the images and the size of the keyboard, we assume it is a panel OLED between 14-15 inches when folded and much more when fully developed. We’re guessing it’ll use the latest Intel processors (just like the X1 Fold), though they don’t really matter compared to its spectacular design.
Lenovo’s rollable laptop is rumored to be launched as a special edition of the sixth-generation ThinkBooks that the company will display at CES 2025. We already told you.
