No support
WhatsApp will no longer be available on a number of smartphones from brands such as Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony from January 1, 2025. These are old models, i.e. smartphones that still run Android KitKat or older operating systems and are therefore ten years old.
Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, does this primarily for security reasons and to continue to ensure the functionality of the app. Below is a list of smartphones that will no longer be supported by WhatsApp from 2025.
