The Turkish Akıncı UAV, created by Baykar Makina with a Ukrainian-made engine, broke a new altitude record.
According to Ukrinform, successes are reported excitement Baykar Makina technical director Selcuk Bayraktar.
In the statement, “Akıncı broke the national aviation altitude record once again: 45,118 feet (13 km 752 m – ed.)”
Akıncı broke the previous UAV record by flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet (almost 10.7 km) in April this year.
As Khalyuk Bayraktar, CEO of the Turkish company Baykar Makina, said in an interview with Ukrinform, Akinci UAVs of different power have Ukrainian-made engines in different versions of this combat drone. In particular, these are engines manufactured by Ivchenko-Progress and Motor Sich JSC.
