Xiaomi Book S: the new tablet is equipped with a Windows 11 processor and Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2

On Tuesday, June 21, Xiaomi announced its first ARM64-based Windows tablet, the Xiaomi Book S (Model A51). This model comes preloaded with Windows 11 and should be on the market soon for a suggested price of €699 without keyboard, equivalent to R$3813 with direct conversion. The recommended price for the keyboard version is 799 euros or 4352 reais with direct conversion.

Details of the new Xiaomi Book S

According to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Book S tablet has a 12.4-inch LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. Still on screen, it covers 100% of the sRGB color space, has a maximum peak brightness of 500 nits, and supports the Xiaomi Smart Pen sold separately.

Xiaomi’s new tablet features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor released in 2020 as an option for more affordable 5G capable laptops, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB SSD, microSD card slot up to 512GB and 4920 GB. mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

The Xiaomi Book S tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. In addition, connectivity options include support for Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has two microphones and two 2W speakers.

The Xiaomi Book S tablet will be sold through the company’s online store, and for a limited time, those who buy it will receive a Redmi Buds 3 Pro headset as a gift. It has not yet been confirmed whether this model will be offered in the Brazilian market.
