Hospital doctors. Mary Lenning of Hastings, Nebraska uses a robot to detect lung diseases, including cancer.
As Ukrinform reported, this was reported by KSNB Local 4.
According to doctors, the robot helps detect lung diseases at an early stage.
It is stated that more than 90% of people diagnosed with lung cancer do not partially recover from the disease, because it is detected only at an advanced stage.
The robot itself, called Monarch, is used to examine the inside of the lungs and collect tissue samples for biopsy, helping doctors diagnose small, hard-to-reach lung nodules earlier and more accurately.
According to pulmonologist Matthew Street, this robot has enhanced maneuverability and can reach previously inaccessible parts of the lungs.
As Ukrinform reports, a robot surgeon performing gynecological operations is being tested in China.
