As with Black Friday, retailers in China offer bulk sales on June 18 each year, and Chinese network users are proud to call this date 6.18. Last week 6.18 was typical, and now data on smartphone sales for this day has been released – the iPhone 13 flexed its muscles once again as the world’s most popular smartphone.
The sales chart appearing on Chinese social networks shows the iPhone 13 as the undisputed winner of 6.18, with 2.82 million units sold to date. This is a similar situation outside of China, as the latest CounterPoint Research report also shows that the iPhone 13 was the world’s best-selling smartphone in April.
The Redmi K50 ranks second in the list of 341,000 devices that have been relocated. Xiaomi’s other device, the Xiaomi 12X, is in third place with 234,000 units sold. After the iPhone 13 in first place, Xiaomi completely dominates the list, although the company is in the next nine places to complete the top ten. However, this list is a great example of the fact that quality is more expensive than quantity: All Xiaomi devices on the list have up to 1.92 million units – a far cry from the 2.82 million iPhone 13.
