After Huawei and several other Chinese manufacturers of equipment fell under sanctions United Statesa DJI could be the next one to be kicked out of the North American market. This is because the letter sent to the US Senate committee considers the drone manufacturer a threat to the country.
The manufacturer received US$15 million in funding to continue developing the device.
The document, sent on June 22, asks the authorities to “include the American Security Drones Act (ASDA) in the final report of the ‘America’s Competition Act of 2022’ passed by the House of Representatives and the USICA passed by the Senate.” According to the letter, the new law has the same purpose as ASDAwhich “strengthens our economy and protects our security by ensuring a level playing field for all.”
Various manufacturers claim that the approval a specific law on unmanned aerial vehicles is an important issue for national security, preventing “taxpayer dollars from being wasted on Chinese-made drones that threaten national security, economic competitiveness, and human rights.” Through these placements, the company claim that DJI is a danger to the United Statesdespite the fact that the Chinese company has already denied the allegations several times.

According to DroneXL, who also had access to the letter and published it in its entirety, an industry source who requested anonymity says the accusations against the Chinese manufacturer are not new. But this is the first time Blue suAS member companies use their names in campaign to eliminate competitionusing data security considerations as the reason for doing so.
Part of the letter states that DJI and Outel Robotics control most of the market. With the launch of new models from Chinese manufacturers, they are eclipsing aircraft from other manufacturers.
The carnage can be observed from the perspective of a drone.
Letter of request ASDA for inclusion in America’s Competition Act of 2022 was signed by senior management blue dronewhich has manufacturers such as skydio, Parrot Drones, Autherion Government Solutions, Inc. and a number of other Western manufacturers. O DroneXL indicates that, despite the warning about the security risks of Chinese models, all drones manufactured by Blue suAS companies built mostly from parts made in Chinacollected only in the USA.
