It was noted that the ship, which will operate in relatively shallow water, has a length of 56 meters and a width of 24 meters. The maximum speed of a 150 tonne barge is 6 knots. ACB Argymak will be managed by a team of six people.
The self-propelled barge is equipped with two water and two propellers, which makes it possible to use it even in icy waters.
Construction work on the floating vehicle began in 2019 at a shipyard in Glasgow, Scotland, but was initially halted due to the company’s bankruptcy. Later, negotiations started between Caspian Mainport Aktau LLP / CMI Offshore Group and Azerbaijan Maritime Shipping Company, and as a result, the barge body produced in Glasgow was divided into two parts and delivered to Azerbaijan, whose construction was completed with dry cargo.
