G7 countries came together in Germany, where the USA announced new measures against Russia. The Americans promised not to give access to their technology to companies that support Russia. This also applies to semiconductors.
Companies will not be able to purchase American-made goods and technologies. In addition, the United States expanded the list of people subject to sanctions, increased tariffs on more than 570 sets of goods from Russia to $ 2.3 billion, and banned new Russian gold imports into the country.
The G7 countries also pledged to continue providing financial, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support to Ukraine. The White House website reported that as a result of the measures taken, Russia’s GDP would fall in double digits, inflation would rise above 20%, and it was the first technical default on a government debt in Russia in more than a century.
