Qualcomm has announced its latest RFFE module that will enable the company to transfer 5G from Wi-Fi 7 to all next-gen devices. The company said its RF interface solution, or RFFE, is the best companion for a modern mobile modem, as it provides access to a new “5G/Wi-Fi coexistence” feature on a given device, along with battery savings and better performance.
Of course, the new Qualcomm technology is compatible with both smartphones and other IoT devices, VR headsets and car systems.
Qualcomm calls itself a leader in mobile RFFE, a module responsible for connecting the model to other components such as antennas. The company has developed products for devices such as PCs, XR headsets, mobile broadband CPUs, and smartphones. The new Qualcomm RFFE modules are said to be specifically designed for Wi-Fi 7 and 6E. Manufacturers can use new modules with Qualcomm Technologies customer connectivity products such as Qualcomm® FastConnect™ 7800 Wi-Fi 7 / Bluetooth Systems and Snapdragon® 5G Modem-RF Systems for advanced wireless connections such as Snapdragon® devices.
