Earlier, insiders reported that Samsung will launch open beta testing of Android 13-based One UI 5.0 firmware earlier than last year – in July. New information from authoritative profile publication SamMobile confirms this and states that the release is expected in the third week of July. It is already known when a stable version is released for all users and who can update, on which smartphones it will be possible to test One UI 5.0.
Owners of current flagship smartphones – representatives of the Galaxy S22 series will be the first to install the beta version of One UI 5.0. Test software is expected to be available for complex devices: Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.
According to new information, the release of a stable version of One UI 5.0 is scheduled for October, the first updated Galaxy S22. This is a month earlier compared to the previous schedule (a year ago, the Galaxy S21 received firmware updates in November).
While Samsung has announced the expiration date of some of its models, the list of devices that will be upgraded to One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 is already known approximately.
