The WhatsApp Beta UWP app has received a new update to version 2.2225.2.0 which adds a modern context menu for selected texts in chats. This allows users to use basic text formatting when composing messages for contacts, with options such as bold, strikethrough, underline, and even a rich font for code sharing.
Thanks to Microsoft on Twitter for spotting this update, you can see the difference between version 2.2225.2.0 and the previous version between the context menus in the chat window in our previous/next images above. The context menu can also be collapsed so that all Copy, Cut, Paste, Undo and Select All options are hidden and this is remembered between chat sessions.
unfortunately, because Facebook It’s unclear what else has changed in this latest update, as there are no release notes or history provided by Meta (which owns WhatsApp) and Microsoft. But you can get it right now from the Microsoft Store here.
