Since the launch of Windows 11 at the end of last year, we have seen Microsoft step on the gas in terms of providing new operating system features. Something understandable because, as we discussed at the time, Windows 11 looked half-finished, something like Windows 10.5. It promised a lot, but much of the new stuff wasn’t available yet, which surely discouraged many people from taking the plunge.
Since then the situation has improved and the expected Windows 11 22H2 update promises to go even further in this direction, with a huge set of new features that can serve to increase its adoption, which is currently one of Microsoft’s main fronts. But as we already told you, it does not end there, because the company’s engineers have been working for some time on the news that will come to Windows after 22H2.
And today we know about one of these innovations, something that, without implying a major change to the operating system, reflects that in Redmond they decided that the facelift of your operating system is absolute. Specifically, in the news, which has only made its way to the Insiders Dev channel at the moment, Microsoft would revamp the context menu’s “Open with” feature.
As you can see in the picture, this new design visually aligns it with the Windows 11 design schemethus giving it a more up-to-date look and at the same time adapting it to the different modes (light and dark) of the operating system.
