The head of the State Intelligence Service said that the quality of cyber attacks from the Russian Federation has decreased.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has carried out 796 cyberattacks against Ukraine, which is three times more than in the same period last year, but the quality of the cyberattacks is declining.

Yuriy Shchygol, head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, said this in an interview with Liga.Tech, Ukrinform reported.

“It turned out that Russia is not as strong as it has been promoted in recent years. None of its attacks have achieved the goals they set for themselves,” said the head of the State Intelligence Service.

Currently, Ukrainian systems are protected, mainly thanks to the professionalism of our specialists and international cooperation.

Shchygol added that the first large-scale war in cyberspace is currently underway. And Ukraine and the USA are the two countries most attacked by Russian hackers.

“The hackers attacking us, trying to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure, are financed by the Russian state. 90% of hacker groups in the Russian Federation belong to the security forces. These are the GRU, the FSB and the FSB,” says Shchygol.

As previously reported by the agency, Russia ramps up hacking against the US and its allies.
