Jablotron co-owner Dalibor Dedek has announced that the Czech Republic will hand over Bivoj reconnaissance drones to Ukraine. “The first task of the UAV will be to provide accurate data so that the Ukrainian artillery achieves the best results,” Dedek said. Said.
The drone is offered by the manufacturer in the form of a kit that includes three aircraft, a pilot-operator control station, a tracking antenna or satellite module and a catapult. The drone starts from it.
“If we’re talking about a radio signal, it can be sent over a distance of 50 to 60 kilometers. So far away that it can collect data and return,” he said.
Even one person is enough to control the Bivo, if the drone is configured for autonomous flight, it knows where to fly and what its tasks are.
The designers also developed an interception version that can carry ammunition.
The total weight of the drone is 25 kg, and the wingspan is 3.3 meters. In the air, the drone can collect data for up to 6 hours, taking into account the peculiarities of the so-called negative wing design. According to company representatives, the drone is easy to store and transport.
A complete set of two reconnaissance and “ten combat” units costs 30 million crowns, but the Czech side gives the drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for free, the drones are invested in donations of the Czech people.
