It is the first Android smartphone to support Dolby Vision HDR recording.

On other fronts, since we are talking about a smartphone after all, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra includes a screen 6.73 inch AMOLED with HDR10+ support, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and supporting native resolution 1440 × 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. SoC is a Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which is octa-core and manufactured using a 4nm process.

At the memory level, we find configurations of 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM along with 256GB of data storage, 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM along with 512GB of storage. Considering what the device includes at the rear camera level, data storage needs to be considered.

For connectivity, the smartphone includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, infrared port and USB 2.0 Type-C (yes, you read that right). The The battery has a capacity of 4,860 mAhlithium-polymer type and supports fast charging via cable and wireless.

We “descend” to reach the Xiaomi 12S Pro, a smartphone clearly more modest than the previous one, but not necessarily low in terms of performance, since here we also find the rear camera configuration from Leica.

The Xiaomi 12S Pro includes a screen 6.73 inch AMOLED which works in resolution 1440 x 3200 pixelswith a refresh rate of 120 Hz and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

The processor in this case is the Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is also octa-core. On the memory level, it offers configurations of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for data, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 12S Pro packs a triple configuration on the back with all lenses supporting 50 megapixels. The first is 24mm with f/1.9 aperture, the telephoto lens is 48mm with f/1.9 aperture and the wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.

For connectivity, we find Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e dual band, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, infrared port and USB 2.0 Type-C. It has a fingerprint reader and the battery is lithium polymer and 4,600 mAhcapable of supporting both wired and wireless fast charging.

It is a dual-SIM smartphone with dimensions of 163.6 x 74.6 x 8.2 millimeters, MIUI 13 on Android 12 as the operating system and will be available in gray, white, purple and green colors. The prices are 670, 712, 771 and 843 euros after the variants from the one with the least number of functions to the variant with the largest memory.

And finally, we have the most “basic” model, the Xiaomi 12S, which also has a Laic camera configuration on the back.

This smartphone features an AMOLED screen 6.28 inches which supports native resolution 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The SoC is the same as the Pro version and the rest of the features are similar, so let’s focus on the differences.

The rear camera setup is triple with a 50-megapixel, 26mm main lens and f/1.9 aperture; 13MP, 12mm wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture; in addition to the 5-megapixel telephoto lens, 50 millimeters and f/2.4 aperture.

The battery in the Xiaomi 12S is somewhat smaller, 4500 mAh but supports fast charging by the same means. The memory configurations are 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, with approximate prices of 571, 614, 617 and 743 euros. .
