Today ASUS introduced the next generation of gaming smartphones – ROG Phone 6. As always, the series includes a basic model and a Pro.
Both ROG Phone 6 models are equipped with 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The touch sampling rate is now 720 Hz and the peak brightness reaches 1200 nits.
Both smartphones use the latest and most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor to date. The base version is available with either 12 or 16 GB of RAM, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro can be equipped with up to 18 GB.
The new smartphones feature programmable AirTrigger buttons, two front speakers, triple microphones and a headphone jack. The phones are also splash proof according to the IPX4 standard.
As for the cameras, the main module is the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766, which is complemented by 13 megapixels (ultra-wide) and 5 megapixels (macro camera). The selfie camera here is 12 megapixel Sony IMX663.
The ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro still use a 6,000mAh battery split into two 3,000mAh cells. Wired charging supports 65W of power.
Prices for the ROG Phone 6 start at €999 in Europe, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro starts at €1,299.
