Combat robots can attack enemy reinforcements without using artillery. When 2-3 robots enter a combat position and begin to process enemy positions with high precision from a large-caliber machine gun, all enemy battle points become silent. And exactly such combat robots are produced by the Ukrainian company KB “Robotics”, reports the Building Tech portal.

If we talk about the use of units of such robots, when there are about 10 of them, they can completely block the work of the enemy front for 2-3 kilometers. Such positions can then be attacked without harming one’s own staff.

The robot’s functions include logistics. Ground robots can deliver various cargoes that can evacuate wounded soldiers.

Also, an important aspect of the information gathering work under development at “Robotics” KB is the radio-electronic countermeasures that will be used to create a radio-electronic barrier for enemy drones.

Usually, radio-electronic combat vehicles are located behind the first line of infantry positions. Its effectiveness is therefore limited, the enemy has the opportunity to explore our positions in the line of contact. The ones that can perform this function are the light ones – they can gather intelligence before our positions.

Also, due to its autonomy, it is indispensable to work with radio-electronic security functions in the gray zone, since tanks, BMPs and EW vehicles cannot be used there.

The main idea behind the creation of such robots is to ensure the safety of humans so that Armed Forces personnel can be in remote locations and operate effective equipment.

Earthworks come in different weights and sizes. The KB Robotics company specializes in the creation of medium-sized robots, devices weighing up to 1 tonne. These complexes have different autonomy by the presence of certain functions of artificial intelligence.

To date, the company has one instance, endowed with a second degree of autonomy. This is not only a radio-controlled mode, but also allows the mobile platform to act autonomously, distinguish individual obstacles, make decisions about their bypass, etc.

The ground robot manufactured by KB Robotics is called BRP-3, which is based on the central component, a mobile logistics platform with a payload of 300 kg.

As for combat robots, the same mobile platform is equipped with reconnaissance vehicles, a combat module that includes a guidance device that captures visual and audio recording information day and night, allowing to work with a large-caliber NSV-12.7 machine gun. Such a robot can shoot at enemy positions, performing defensive and offensive tasks.

Specialists of the KB Robotics initiative implemented the actions of such robots in an attack in eastern Ukraine in 2018-2021. “We have been testing our complexes in practice since 2016, and as of today, KB Robotics has 4 generations of robots,” says Ivan Kyrychenko, Chief Designer of KB Robotics.
