After the recent launch of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7, the company has just announced in China the arrival of the new Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Proa larger size and spec model that comes much closer to the smartwatch experience while maintaining a significantly lower price point.

WITH 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 280 x 456 pixels (at 326 pixels per inch) this device is considerably wider than most fitness trackers. And in fact, Xiaomi tried to highlight this quality with some additional features. The wider screen allows more information to fit on the screen at once, while the 180 new watch faces display more information, allowing for more sophisticated designs.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is cCompatible with up to 117 different exercise modes, with some illustrated aids; and of course also offer all the usual health monitoring optionssuch as pedometer, sleep quality, heart rate and even blood oxygen level.

While the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro it doesn’t have all the features of a full-fledged smartwatch (such as support for third-party applications running on the device itself), Compared to regular bracelets, it has several advantages, such as displaying notifications from your phone, as well as some additional functions, such as NFC support for mobile payments or water resistance up to 5 ATM, thanks to which we can use it while swimming or showering. In addition, the large screen design not only allows you to see more information at a glance, but also helps the device look more like a watch/fashion accessory than a device you’re obviously only using to track your steps or track your workout.

Finally, this band excels in equipment 235 mAh battery that can last up to 12 days autonomy for typical use or up to 6 days with intensive use using all functions such as real-time heart rate monitoring throughout the day.

Availability and price

At the moment, only Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is available for pre-order in China, we can see starting prices of 379 yuan (approximately 55 euros per exchange), although it’s very likely we’ll see a slight price increase if it goes on sale internationally.
