Microsoft announced on Tuesday, April 5, during its “future of hybrid work” event, several new features coming soon to Windows 11, including long-awaited support for tabbed browsing in File Explorer. Tabbed browsing support in File Explorer has always been a highly requested feature among Windows 11 users. This feature is currently hidden in some of the latest builds of the OS available through the Windows Insider Program, but can be enabled using a third-party tool. as shown Here.

Another new feature confirmed today by Microsoft for Windows 11 is support for contextual suggestions in File Explorer. Based on Context IQ Microsoft 365, this feature mainly suggests relevant content and contacts in File Explorer.
In addition, the updated version of the Start menu will allow you to create app folders, something that already existed in Windows 10 but didn’t exist in the initial version of Windows 11. To create an app folder, users will only need to drag an app icon on top of another in the Start menu:

Currently in the testing phase of the Windows Insider Program, support for live captioning in Windows 11 was also one of the new features confirmed today by Microsoft. This feature allows the operating system to automatically generate real-time subtitles for video and any other audio content, which is useful for people with hearing impairments:

Updated window layouts will also support touch screens, so tablet and portable hybrid device users will be able to better use this feature on their devices. New features focused on online meetings in Microsoft Teams include auto-framing support, background blur, noise reduction improvements, and more:

On the security front, Microsoft has confirmed that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen will feature improved anti-phishing support and Smart App Control, and will ensure that only trusted apps run on a user’s PC. Microsoft also highlighted at its event that Windows 11 will have tighter integration with Windows 365, its solution that offers cloud desktop experiences. According to the company, and Windows 365 Native App Coming Soon to Windows 11which will allow access to cloud PCs directly from the start menu, Windows 365 Switch enable users to quickly switch between cloud PC and local PC more easily and Download Windows 365 will allow users to set Cloud PC as the primary interface on their local PC. The company also confirmed that Windows 365 offline will allow you to use a cloud PC if the Internet connection is not available – the changes made will be synchronized the next time the user connects.
