Intel has revived its reference laptop, the NUC X15. Released a year ago, the device received updates: Alder Lake processors and discrete Arc graphics.
To be more precise, there are two versions: LAPAC71G and LAPAC71H with Core i7-12700H processors and Arc A550M and Arc A730M graphics cards respectively. There are also mentions of some versions of the C51G that are expected to have more powerful components.
Interestingly, the original NUC X15 offered GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 3D cards. So the Arc A550M and A730M should be comparable or even faster than Nvidia’s listed solutions, or the laptop upgrade would be very awkward. However, we do not have any data on the performance of the Intel graphics cards mentioned so far.
As a reminder, the NUC X15 laptop is a reference device. Intel does not sell them itself, as it does with NUC minicomputers. Instead, laptops can be bought by the company’s partners, have their logos affixed to them, and sold as their own products. Source
