Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet provider has introduced a powerful Starlink Maritime internet dish for vehicles at sea, including boats, yachts and ships.

As reported by Ukrinform, Engadget reported it.

The iron itself costs 10 thousand dollars, and the monthly subscription is another five thousand.

The satellite Internet provider says Starlink Maritime can deliver download speeds of up to 350 Mbps at sea.

With in words Starlink Maritime plates, the heads of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, are different from their domestic counterparts. He adds that these are dual high-performance terminals that can maintain communication during a strong storm at sea.

Starlink Marine terminals are designed to withstand salt water drops, extreme winds and storms.

Musk also noted that SpaceX pays $150,000 a month for a “much worse Internet connection” on its ships.

Currently, Starlink Maritime will only operate in the coastal waters of the USA (not including Alaska), Europe (excluding Norway, Sweden and most of Finland), Australia, Brazil, Chile, most of southern Australia and New Zealand. In the fourth quarter of 2022 and beyond, Starlink is expected to roll out Starlink Maritime connectivity to even more locations worldwide.

As reported, SpaceX founder Elon Musk helped provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and satellite Internet access. It also transferred Tesla Powerwall stations to Ukraine.

The company Starlink Ukraine (“Starlink Ukraine”) received an operator license.
