ASUS ZenFone 9 is accidentally revealed by the brand itself

In addition to its ROG line dedicated to gamers, recently joined by the new ASUS ROG Phone 6, the company has another family of smartphones aimed at the top of the range, the ZenFone. So, after a year since the arrival of the latest models and despite the secrecy that has been kept until now, ASUS accidentally revealed ZenFone 9 coming soon by posting their promotional video on their official YouTube channel.

Although the video was quickly removed, it was online long enough for Tech Going to grab it for publication. That is, except that it offers us a good look at the overall design of this upcoming smartphonethe leaked video also reveals many of its key specifications and featurespointing to a compact format model.

As we can see in the images, the phone will keep a very similar design to its predecessor, in fact it will keep the same screen size with 5.9-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. All this accompanied by a rather simple and minimalist aesthetic, with a back cover in which only its two large lenses stand out.

And that’s exactly what ZenFone 9 provides 50 megapixel main camera with Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) similar to a six-axis gimbal, which is expected to provide smooth, shake-free panning during video recording. Unlike regular OIS, where the sensor moves as the phone moves, Gimball OIS stabilizes the image when the phone is slightly tilted, ensuring that the camera continues to calibrate itself in response to the slightest movement.

Inside, the ZenFone 9 is said to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, though unfortunately this video doesn’t reference the rest of the memory and storage configuration. So the only trade-off for a smaller design seems to be the reduction in size its battery, 4300 mAhslightly smaller than what we are used to seeing in the vast majority of terminals.

For now No details on its price or release date have been releasedbut since ASUS already has all the presentation materials, i.eAll indications are that we will have news very soon.
