will soon come true four years since NVIDIA announced DLSS technology, which came from the hands of the GeForce RTX 20 generation. The four years in which we have seen this AI-based super-scaling technology develop in a more than remarkable way, from somewhat disappointing beginnings to the present, where the results can be obtained are simply spectacular whether on desktop systems or laptops. We recently told you about these improvements in detail.

In parallel with the DLSS improvements, we are witnessing the growth of the catalog of games compatible with this technology. Not really at breakneck speed, either because the implementation process is complex and/or because studios are now starting to realize the substantial improvements that DLSS offers to their users and subsequently decide to add their titles to the list of those compatible with this technology.

Be that as it may, the good news for RTX 20 and RTX 30 series graphics card users is that lThe list of DLSS-compatible games has continued to grow, reaching 200 titles according to NVIDIA compatible. 200 games that, by enabling DLSS, allow players to enjoy much higher image quality without having to upgrade any part of their systems and without sacrificing performance measured in frames per second, as they also benefit from DLSS. You can view the updated list of compatible titles at this link.

Although initially many people thought both DLSS and ray tracing were lightning fastover time it becomes fully accredited that both technologies are here to stay, marking the before and after of the way we enjoy games, whatever their type. And it’s not just triple A that benefits from mine, we can also see more graphically modest games like Minecraft that use ray tracing to provide a whole new experience.

CThis DLSS milestone coincides with the first anniversary of the FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) from AMD, which recently released the code of its version 2.oa which is also experiencing a lot of growth in its catalog, although in this case mainly due to community involvement. We can and should expect improvements in both DLSS and FSR, but there’s no doubt that superscaling is already an essential part of the gaming experience for many.
