Apple decided to recognize several popular computers as obsolete. This was reported by MacRumors.
Media reporters refer to the message the company sent to Apple Store employees and specialists of authorized service centers. According to the information received, the company will place the first laptops with Touch Bar on the list of rare devices on July 31.
The leaked document shows that the 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, the 15-inch MacBook Pro and the 12-inch MacBook will be considered obsolete. Also on the list of rare devices will be iMac desktops with a diagonal of 21.5 and 27 inches and the first iPad Pro tablets released in 2017.
Apple is classifying the device as rare, five years since the company last distributed the device for sale. The first MacBook Pro models with a touch panel were announced to be discontinued in June 2017.
The original MacBooks with Touch Bar were released in October 2016. The computers also feature a thinner and lighter chassis, a butterfly keyboard, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and an enlarged trackpad.
