Microsoft said it blocked attempts by Russian military intelligence hackers to infiltrate Ukrainian, European and American sites.
This is indicated in the company’s description, Ukrinform reports.
It was noted that a group of hackers called Strontium used 7 Internet domains to spy on Ukrainian institutions, including the media, as well as government agencies and think tanks in the EU and the USA.
With court permission, Microsoft took control of these Internet domains, reducing their use by Strontium hackers and allowing them to notify potential victims in advance.
IN Microsoft It is believed that Strontium seeks to gain long-term access to systems, provide tactical attack support and leak classified information. The company informed the Government of Ukraine about the activities identified and the measures taken.
As Ukrinform reported, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression, more than 120 strong cyberattacks on the resources of state officials and the military administration of Ukraine were immediately detected and neutralized.
