You’ve probably seen at least once on YouTube a schoolgirl drawn in anime style sitting at a table and writing something concentrated in a notebook. She has an open laptop nearby, books and stationery, and a cat lies on the windowsill she. Sometimes the heroine turns the page, looks out the window, or leans back in her chair. And then everything starts again. This is the 24-hour stream of the YouTube phenomenon of recent years: a lo-fi music stream positioned as music for learning. Calm and measured, it is designed to increase concentration in lessons.

What happened?

The channel, which has more than 10 million views today, tweeted Lo-fi Radio on July 10. “Removed due to erroneous copyright notices”.

The authors of the channel attached a screenshot of the letter taken from YouTube, which contains only a notification about the strike and the impossibility of further broadcasting.

Apparently they appealed and it worked. In addition, a corresponding appeal was made on the official pages of the video platform on Twitter. The YouTube team later posted a comment explaining and apologizing.

“The takedown requests have been confirmed to be abusive and we terminated the requesters’ accounts. We’ve removed the strikes and restored your videos – sometimes it can take 24-48 hours for everything to get back to normal! We’re so sorry about this and thank you for your attention. Patience as we resolve this.”

You can currently see a preview on the channel page showing that the broadcast lasted 20,843 hours and 43 minutes. Another stream took a little less – 20,772 hours 51 minutes. However, neither record is available.

The channel has not yet resumed broadcasting.
