As reported by Ukrinform, the press service of the American agency reported this on Twitter.
“I’ve already collected my 10th rock sample seen here in the late afternoon Martian sun,” NASA said.
It is noted that the size of the last extracted sample is equal to the size of the little finger.
Previously, Perseverance had photographed a piece of thermal blanket on the Red Planet.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Perseverance spacecraft was sent to Mars along with the Ingenuity helicopter as part of the NASA research mission on February 18, 2021.
One of its missions is to collect rock samples on Mars, which will be taken to Earth by a special joint mission of the European Space Agency and NASA.
