Jony Ive, the former head of Apple’s design division, has finally terminated his collaboration with the Cupertino-based company. He left the company in 2019 and founded his own design firm, LoveFrom, and signed a contract with Apple to consult with the firm’s own designers. For this he received very well paid – $ 100 million. the contract expired a few weeks ago, it was decided not to be renewed.
I may have a conflict of interest because under the contract with Apple the company may prohibit it from collaborating with other companies.
The design team is currently led by Alan Dye, Vice President of Design, and Evans Hankey, Vice President of Industrial Design. Both had previously worked under Ive.
It is worth noting that Airbnb and Ferrari are among the employers of Aiva and LoveFrom. As for Apple, it was he who developed the breakthrough iMac in 1997. I created white in-ear headphones for the iPod. It also supported the development of the touchscreen for the iPhone. Source
