Thank you Ilona: Restoring communication and internet thanks to Tesla Powerwall 2 in the Donetsk region

Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov showed on his Telegram channel how the infrastructure was restored in the Donetsk region using Tesla Powerwall 2 energy storage equipment.

The Minister stressed that due to the constant bombardment of enemies, there is almost no internet and communication in many settlements. Because of this, doctors, firefighters and rescuers work in superhuman conditions and residents are unable to communicate with their relatives.

Now with Tesla Powerwall 2 solar batteries, these people will always be connected,
Said Mykhailo Fedorov.

The head of the Ministry of Statistics also noted that Mykolaiv Oblast is next, where work is planned to restore the infrastructure destroyed by bombardment. The minister thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk and European digital transformation ministers for technological assistance to Ukraine.

We will remind you that the Tesla Powerwall system and solar panels, which billionaire Elon Musk transferred to Ukraine, are already installed in the Borodyanka hospital. It is planned to install similar alternative energy stations in the Kyiv region and other critical infrastructure facilities of other regions in the future.

Features of Tesla Powerwall 2

The Powerwall 2 has a single stackable 13.5 kWh capacity for more demanding homes or businesses. The Powerwall is equipped with a built-in inverter that can provide a fixed power of 5 kW or a peak power of 7 kW.

This makes the system capable of running and operating several appliances at once, in addition to previously energy-intensive appliances such as electric stoves and ovens, water pumps, geysers or clothes dryers.

Unlike other Li-ion batteries, the Powerwall 2 has a rated depth of discharge (DoD) of 100%, meaning you can use all its useful capacity without losing its long battery life.

In addition, Powerwall 2 is managed using a dedicated mobile application, which significantly simplifies system control and monitoring.
