Motorola’s Moto Edge 30 Ultra should be the first smartphone with a 200-megapixel camera – the presentation of the new product is expected in July. But Chen Jin, general manager of Motorola’s China division, has published a sample photo of the 200-megapixel sensor (Samsung ISOCELL HP1) of the future flagship.

The picture posted by Mr. Jin has a resolution of 50 megapixels, thanks to the 4-in-1 grouping used by the smartphone by default. This is standard practice: to capture more light, many smartphones combine adjacent physical pixels into a single virtual pixel.
The image was posted on the Chinese social network Weibo, so the quality may be compressed. However, the photo weighs almost 14 MB – one can only hope that the smartphone will have a large amount of internal memory.
