Samsung has officially announced the imminent launch of One UI Watch 4.5 for the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic, which will launch in the third quarter of this year (end of September) and will also ship to the new Galaxy Watch5 family. is released.
An announcement like this isn’t unusual, but it’s surprising that Samsung comes right in the middle of the public beta testing schedule for this software. It’s been in the works for a few weeks, and those who participated in the beta today received a new build of their smartwatch.
A UI Watch 4.5 Beta 4 came as ZVG3 firmware version with many bug fixes including forced shutdown issues, connection mismatch between Galaxy Wearable app and watch, Sysui crashes and more. The Watch Battery feature, sleep feature, and Message app are “stabilized”, while the Watch Battery app is “improved” in an unknown way. Samsung’s changelog also assures that “other improvements have been implemented” without going into further detail.
The new build is live both in South Korea and in the US, where the beta testing program is running. Hopefully, with this series of bug fixes, Samsung is getting closer to a stable release.
