Twitter has introduced a new button that allows users to check out threads of conversations mentioned by other people and untag themselves; this is an option already available for all devices.

At the beginning of April, the company announced that it has implemented a tool called Unmentioning during the testing phase, allowing spam blocking.

In principle, this button is intended for the web version of this service, where posts begin to show a button represented by three horizontal dots in the Options section.

Next, the social network stated that the fact of leaving a chat does not mean that users can no longer access or view it, instead the service will be maintained.

Now announced from the company account Twitter Security this button has been made available in all accounts of the social network and has been implemented on all devices.

To access this option, users must press the three horizontal dots of said broadcast and select Leave this conversation.

Next, Twitter displays a popup informing them of the consequences of leaving the chat they’re talking about.

First, he states that by untagging the username, he will remain on the post, but will be untagged from the original tweet and any replies he receives.

Likewise, when you are not tagged in this chat, future mentions in this chat will be stopped and you will not receive notifications if other users engage in this Twitter thread.
