Deer Supermoon – one of the brightest moon phenomena in July

A few days ago we published a calendar of astronomical events for this month. OUR Moon will participate in multiple connections and tomorrow’s event will be one of three supermoons of the year – the next one will be on August 11, and the first one took place in June.

name origin Deer Supermoon comes from the indigenous peoples of North America. In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s summer, when deer’s antlers grow back after falling off in winter. In this case, there is nothing mystical or supernatural. Term Supermoon has some differences. In recent years, the term has been used for almost every full moon. However, the term was originally used to refer to full moons when our satellite is less than 360,000 kilometers from Earth. So strawberry supermoon (in June) Deer Supermoon and the next one, which will take place in August (Sturgeon Supermoon) fit this definition.

OUR Deer Supermoon will be the largest of the year. It will be best seen on level ground and with a wide horizon, but you can still see all its greatness, Supermoon will have greater brightness and size than usual. This phenomenon reaches 33% more brightness than other phases Moon and will appear in the sky 15% larger in diameter.

If you cannot see this phenomenon tomorrow, you can try again on Thursday. Like Wednesday, one of the best times to watch Supermoon this is in the first few minutes as it will show a beautiful color change as it rises in the night sky.
